Position Title: Seasonal Park Attendant

Salary: $16.18-17.68 per hour starting

Application Deadline: Priority to applications received by March 13, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. Open until filled.

Job Summary: Individuals hired for this position can work in one of four different park attendant areas. Due to staffing levels individuals may have to fill in for other areas if needed.

1). Open Park Buildings. The individual will open all park restrooms each day and kitchens as needed. The opening process includes cleaning the restrooms and removing trash. The typical hours for this position are from 6am to 10 am or 7am to 11am. Restroom and kitchen openings are needed for Saturday and Sunday.

2). Close Park Buildings. The individual will close and lock all park buildings each evening. The typical hours for this position is 30 minutes prior to sunset. This task usually take 1.5 to 2 hours to complete. Closing buildings are needed Sunday through Saturday.

3). Whipple Beach Attendant. The individual will be responsible for monitoring users of the park to ensure compliance with park rules, re-stock restroom supplies, cleaning of the restrooms and grounds. The hours for this position are 10am to 8 pm. Part-time hours are available. Shifts are typically 5 to 10 hours each. Beach attendants are needed for Sunday through Saturday.

4). Maintenance. The individual will maintain park areas by removing trash, mowing, trimming, preparing and maintaining athletic fields, assist with maintenance and repair of facilities, park openings and closings as needed, serve as a beach attendant as needed, and work special events. The typical hours for this position range from 6am to 4pm. Shifts are typically 8 hours each. Overtime may be available. Maintenance staff is needed Monday through Friday.

Required qualifications: Valid class D Minnesota driver’s license; high school diploma, MN accredited GED, or currently enrolled as a student. Days and hours of work will vary depending upon the duties. Applications will be accepted until all positions are filled.
