The City of Baxter (POP. 8,318) is part of the Baxter/Brainerd Micropolitan Statistical Area that has a population of over 91,000. Baxter, a regional center located in the heart of the central lakes area of Minnesota, is seeking applicants for the position of Street and Utilities Supervisor. The primary objective of the position is to perform supervisory and skilled operation and maintenance of streets, water, sanitary sewer, storm water and related facilities in accordance with approved department plans, policies, programs, and applicable laws.
Required qualifications are Class C Water License and seven years of experience in a Class C or higher class water facility; Class SC Wastewater Collection System License and seven years of experience in a Class SC wastewater facility; valid Minnesota Class CDL driver’s license; Minnesota State special boilers license or ability to obtain within (6) months of hire; seven years of experience in public works maintenance, including street maintenance; Supervisory experience; and High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
The expected starting salary range is $ 66,882.67 to $ 84,724.97 with a competitive benefit package.
