The 2019 Full Depth Reclamation Improvements Project is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 10, 2019 on Memorywood Drive. Work will begin with exploratory digging for the scheduled watermain replacement work. This will consist of excavating to determine if the existing watermain tees need to be replaced. There are 13 individual excavations planned along the Memorywood Drive from just north of City Hall to just north of the public access. Excavation work will progress from north to south and the contractor will detour the roadway as needed around the excavations (see planned detour routes). If the contractor receives the dewatering permit, dewatering pumps and piping may be installed later in the week. As discussed at the open house, dewatering pumps will run 24 hours a day until the groundwater level has been lowered enough to complete the watermain replacement work.

Mailbox support replacement is scheduled to begin on Wednesday. The contractor will remove the existing box and support, install a new swing-away style support and reinstall the existing box on the new support. If you have a one piece mailbox and support, you may have to purchase a new box compatible with the swing-away style support.

Work on the stormwater pond is scheduled for Thursday and Friday. The new stormwater pond is located on the City owned parcel along the west side of Memorywood Drive between City Hall and Oak Street. Work will consist of clearing and grubbing existing trees and pond excavation.

No work is scheduled this week on Fairview Road, Industrial Park Road, Greenwood Road or Basswood Road.
